Justin L. Underwood was a devoted son, loving husband, proud father, and a brilliant human who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly.
Justin’s path was defined by curiosity, perseverance, and a pursuit of knowledge. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science from the University of South Carolina, a Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Information Technology from the Florida Institute of Technology, and a Juris Doctorate from Temple University – James E. Beasley School of Law. His diverse academic accomplishments reflected both his lifelong love of the ocean and his extraordinary ability to connect science, technology, business, and law.
Professionally, Justin built a career as a respected attorney and corporate counsel, blending legal expertise with a strong grasp of technology and business. He advised organizations on complex legal, regulatory, and corporate matters with diligence and integrity, always guided by his sense of fairness and responsibility. His colleagues and clients knew him as a bold thinker, a steady leader, and a trusted advisor who gave his full measure to every endeavor.
Beyond his professional and academic achievements, Justin was defined most by his love for family, his curiosity for the world, and his passion for the sea. Whether tinkering with his boat and Volvos, diving to explore the ocean floor, or sharing cherished moments with his wife and daughters, Justin lived with authenticity, brilliance, and heart.
